Simple Golf Swing
A simple golf swing is what every beginning and weekend golfer should strive to obtain. The
good news is that it is not a something that is overly difficult. It only seems that way at times when you watch the pros on TV. You see them and
think that there is no way you can learn to swing a golf club like that. And while you may not develop a swing that gets you on the PGA Tour, you
can learn a simple golf swing that will have you playing good golf with your partners.
I know it is tempting to see all those golf club commercials telling you how much better you'll play with the new top of line Ping golf clubs
among others, but the truth is, learning how to swing the golf club properly will help your game over any set of clubs.
To work on improving your golf swing, head out to the practice range for a while. This is the ideal place to work on your game, not while you
are out on the course during your round.
One of the first things you'll want to work on is your balance and your stance. One of the best methods there is in regards to your stance and
your aim is to lay a long iron or wood down and point it toward your intended target. Then set up in your stance in back of the club and hit some
balls. Get a feel for where your left shoulder is facing. Once you practice this enough it will begin to become second nature so to speak.
Another important part of a simple golf swing is the backswing. It is your backswing that will actually determine how well you hit a shot.
Work on using a one piece takeaway and slowing down your backswing. Establish a good rhythm and don't rush your backswing. You see this so often
out on the course. Golfers will rush their backswing and the results are always predictable.
Finally, work on your follow through. You want to always finish your swing with a high follow through. Don't cut your follow through short.
Although this may not seem to be that important, try making a higher follow through on the practice range and see if it doesn't help you hit
better golf shots.
These are only a few of the many tips in developing your own simple golf swing. Put them into use and see if they don't have you hitting
better golf shots and shooting lower scores.
Golf Swing Instruction Tip #1
Work on developing a good basic golf swing. In order to play better golf and have more fun you need a
fundamentally sound golf swing. So stick to the basics and work towards having an easily repetitive golf swing that eventually becomes second
nature to you.
Golf Swing Instruction Tip #2
Use training videos to help improve your golf game. Golf swing videos are an excellent way
to build a good solid golf swing. They allow you to watch them over and over again until you are able to correct any swing problems in
your game.
Golf Swing Instruction Tip #3
Get the right training aid. Before buying any golf swing training aid be sure you know
exactly what it is you need to improve on. For example, if you're having a putting problem, is it with distance control? Alignment? Swing?
By pinpointing the exact problem you can then look for a training aid that specifically solves that particular problem.
